I’ve always hated talented artists and popufurs, but for some reason, I’ve always hated Goonie the most. It’s not fair that I’ve spent years in a fruitless attempt to be able to do something that natural-born snobs can effortlessly do. This person can do everything and has everything I’ve wished I had my entire life, gaining a massive following as a result. It’s not fair. Fuck Goon. I hope he dies a slow, painful death.

But hey. If everyone was super, nobody would be.

I mean, it's fine and understandable to be jealous, as, I too find myself envious towards an artist that's much better than me. But Jesus Christ dude, no need to be so damn rude. Bet if you were in Goonie's position and some random dude on the net started wishing you death just for EARNING (that's right, I said earning, because nobody is ever born a prodigy) your skill in art, you'd probably get all prissy and defensive and start spewing stuff about how you earned this place in life and they shouldn't be talking. So how about you calm down, and actually start practicing, because bitching about someone being better than you wont make you a better artist

your artistic potential is something you’re born with, not something you can learn. I’ve spent years trying to draw on par with these people, bought every book I was recommended, and shilled for every online class I could find and still can’t draw a stickman while they magically succeed at everything. If everyone could draw with practice, art wouldn’t make as much money as it does. It’s a privilege a select few are born with while normal people are expected to suck up to them and treat them like gods. I doubt someone with a following of over 20k would care about some rando on the internet not liking him.

This spineless fuck will bitch and moan about people whose artstyle looks remotely like his own. Awful people are always the ones gifted with talent.

That's not complaining, that's just mentioning a funny thing that happens to him sometimes.
And welcome to life, but how do we know he didn't start shit and just drew his whole life because genes are just the starting point that set it at minimum effort to get into.

Also i've seen deviantart mspaint 5 minute people get comms and money soley because the style resonates with them so quality has nothing to do with it, not even mentioning that past a certain point the type of quality ends up mattering more then general quality so there's ways to work around things.

Advice is to not try to draw like someone else and work on how you figure out you draw best, maybe the close up style isn't for you and you think anything lesser is shit so you deny yourself progress to it.

TLDR even if you were a popular artist no one would like you because you are outspokenly hateful to the point they probably couldn't seperate art and artist since it'd be a package deal.

Have you noticed how many popufurs have been outed before, some even turning out to be sex offenders? Personality and background means nothing to talented artists and people with high status. You could be the worst person on earth and still have legions of drooling fans lining up for commissions. As long as your art sells, nothing can get rid of you. They’re even in the entertainment industry. Companies need those people, no matter how foul they may be.

And no, he wasn’t joking. He openly expressed his disdain, despite his own artstyle being derivative.

there's a thing on twitter and e621 that lets you not see certain artists. i'd suggest using it.

Fun fact,I actually had to learn drawing and though I've been drawing for 14 years,I still like my art despite the fact that it isn't the best and it won't ever be the best,I am aware of this and even then I don't go out and tell people to die a painful death because they are better than me at something. Your hatred for artist who are better than you is truly disgusting and the fact that you think this person should die because they draw better than you makes you go from a disgusting human being to a lowlife scum. Also how dare you assume that they are naturally born with an artistic gift? They may have spent years perfecting their craft yet you assume they were just born with it. Yes you could theoretically be born with a few more advantages than others but something like being good at art isn't something that you aren't born good at,it's something you must learn just like most artists have to do anyways. However go ahead and keep having this toxic mindset, having this kind of mindset will make you a miserable prune and make you unable to draw because it seems that you have more hatred than you do have passion.

Also I love how you said awful people are the ones gifted with talent, this essentially downplays literally every other person who is good and pure in heart and work their asses off and still do something good with their life, creating things that are either a revolution or something that inspires others. It's funny how you say only awful people are the ones gifted with talent since how you're acting shows that you're an awful person yet you lack any sort of talent or skill to actually draw which debunks what you even had to say. Either you keep practicing and get better and grow a damn spine and not only accept that your art will not always be the best but acknowledge that some people will be better than you or just drop your pencil and paper and stop entirely because your toxic attitude is what's keeping you from being able to try your hardest.

I once had all the passion and optimism in the world. Years of wasting my precious time on trying to obtain something impossible turned me into the creature you see today. It doesn’t help that the genetically superior artists always seem to get away with plagiarism. I hold no respect for them. Artists like Yoh Yoshinari stole everything from me and ruined my life. I actively spend every moment of my life anticipating and longing for his end. You can continue to suck the teats of these higher breeds, but I will continue to view them as scum that must be exterminated for the good of humanity.

Ah yes because every good artist is prone to plagiarism even though most actually don't. I get it,you hate those who are better than you either due to some inner turmoil or just out of low self-esteem(or none to begin with). The fact that you think art skills are genetic is absolutely stupid, art is something that you learn and something that can require years to perfect and even then the greatest artists of all-time needed to actually practice for the majority of their lives. If that's the case then is being bad at art also genetic, does that mean that since you're shit at art that means that it's all genetic? Do you see how absolutely stupid your thinking is? These people try their fucking hardest to make their art the best that they can,to do years worth of practice and become better as artist only for a jealous little parasite like you to want them dead because they are better than you. They aren't genetically superior to you because they can draw good,it's because they practice harder and put more effort than you and decide not to be jealous and hateful towards others. Should we have you exterminated because bad artists like you could be seen as imperfect or inferior? No we shouldn't so why should artists who are good at making art be exterminated? They shouldn't and all I can say to you is that instead of hating those better than you,you should at least try to practice your art skills and improve since being good at art isn't something you're born with,it isn't something that is in your genetics to make you superior,it's something that you learn and if you aren't good at it then you can always improve and even though your art isn't always the best, that's perfectly fine. However what isn't fine with people who are bad at art take their anger and jealousy out on those who are better than them.

I’m reminded of Chads telling incels to lower their standards. Like beauty, artistic ability is inherent. You must be born with talent in order to succeed. There’s no point in trying anymore when you know you’re going to fail every single time. You could learn every technical skill and still draw nothing but sewage as a result of a lack of talent. Goonie was born blessed with talent, unfortunately.

You are part of the cancerous growth in the art community that thinks that not only their art is shit but they see others who are better than them as genetically superior and you decide to hate on them because they have something that you don't have and it isn't due to genetics either. You can say that you have passion but you clearly aren't showing it since you're showing more hatred for better artists than actually accepting that your art won't always be the best and be the best that you can be. Stop being a jealous little vermin and learn to accept that those people who you say should die put as much passion and effort into their art as you do,don't ever assume that they are genetically superior in that area.

My work has been plagiarized. My hatred stems from massive artists stealing my work and their rabbid fans claiming they “made it better”. My life’s work was stolen and destroyed by talented artists. They actively get away with plagiarism simply because they can draw while us normal people cannot. If everyone could draw, nobody would be shillings millions for artists. It’d pay as much as any other mundane, minimum-wage job if everyone was inherently capable with enough practice. Artistic ability is not a skill. It is not learned.

So what about me? I wasn't actually born with artistic talent because when when I was growing up there were those who did art better than me,most of the kids in my art classes did better than me. Guess what I did though? Instead of wallowing in my own hatred and jealousy I decided to practice and use not only references but read art books about anatomy in order to hone in on what artstyle would be good enough for me and this took me years to do which required ehem..... LEARNING! What you said will always have an exception since there will always be thousands or millions of other artists that will shit on that mindset of yours and prove you wrong because they actually had to learn to be good at art, they weren't born with that talent due to their genetics. They may had a slight leg up ahead of the rest but even then this doesn't mean that they will be better than everyone at art since in order to truly utilize your craft you must put passion and effort into it,you must learn not only the basics of what you're trying to be good at but also learn that you may not be perfect at it but to not hate your fellow artists. I get that your art was plagiarized,I'm sorry to hear that and that has happened to me as well but this doesn't mean you have the generalize every single artist that is better than you as scum and should be exterminated. If you want to go by that logic then should those who are worse than you at drawing see you as a scum and therefore you should be exterminated since you're technically part of the problem? Your mindset as so many holes in it that people can clearly see past it and realize just how absolutely flawed it is.

You’ve been repeating yourself more than I’ve had to, and nothing is going to change my mind. You’re under this bluepilled false security that anyone can be the best which is simply untrue. Some people are born with bodies like Shaq while other aspiring athletes are born either twigs, or physically disabled. Would you say the same to them?

Also see that one word in your message, "some". Read that word closely and realize that you kind of debunked what you said, you could of said that all athletes were born as genetically superior yet you said some which means that there is an exception to what you had to say. I have several disabilities like Aspergers(a form of autism), depression, ADHD, PTSD and audio processing disorder and those were genetic but that didn't stop me from what I wanted to do. Just because you're born with a disability doesn't mean you have to live with that, there are those with disabilities, physical and/or mental, that decided to find what they liked and learned to get better at it. Yes Shaq was born with stronger muscles than the average person but he still needed to LEARN how to play basketball. As I said before, you can be born with an advantage but still require learning and skill in order to use it properly. There are those like you who have talent, who can be better what what you like but you aren't willing to learn or change your flawed mindset and this causes people like you to grow angry,to grow jealous,to grow bitter and spiteful towards your peers and the people you say are scum but in actually have required years of work to reach where they are right now. There is clearly something that is holding you back from being better at art and it clearly isn't that you're not "genetically superior" but instead it's because of your mindset and attitude.

It seems you missed my earlier replies. I dropped every penny of books and classes. I’ve pursued art for years, and it was a fruitless endeavor. Goon is 19. He’s marginally younger than I am and has likely had less experience. I’ve seen minors on Twitter, people with significantly less life experience who draw perfect artwork of this quality or even better. It’s genetic superiority and nothing else.

To me, that says “My art is shit, but I’m happy as long as I tell myself that it’s good”, which is an utterly rancid mindset. I said “some people” to refer to the minority of the population who were born with inherent talent in their field. Normal people will never be able to obtain that same status due to their lack of natural ability. You keep pretending that I didn’t try hard enough, or that I didn’t try at all despite mentioning that I’ve spent years attempting something that these people can naturally do effortlessly, and I still can’t do it.

Do you not realize that there are old people who can still draw better than you or I? Multiple manga and comic book artists who can draw better than me or you? What about those who are older than you but can't even draw stick figures yet you can still draw better than them, should they see you as genetically superior because you can draw better than them and it took you less time to draw than they have? I'm 19 as well yet I still had to fucking learn for 14-15 years and even then my art is still lesser than those who are a few years younger than me but I don't see them as genetically superior, hell there was this one kid in my art class back in 11th grade that was a freshman and drew leagues better than me but you could see him everyday practicing and learning how to be better at drawing. He went through almost the same things you did, he's bought anatomy and art books,he's spent years perfecting his craft and he has had his art on occasion being plagiarized yet he still didn't hold that against anyone nor did he have hate for those who were better than him. What I'm saying is that even if a minor or someone younger than you is better at art doesn't mean that they gave superior genetics. Also you said that those who are better than you at art should be exterminated and you also said that there are minors that are better than you at art. Should that mean that these artists who are minors and below the age of 18 should die because you see them as scum? That's a truly fucked up mindset and honestly if art isn't your thing then find something else that your good at instead of downplaying those who tried just as hard as you.

Didn't say that my art was shit,at most I see it as average but there can still be some people who see it as good or utter shit, either way that doesn't change the way I see it. I think it can be better but that requires more learning and more time so I get to that point where I'm fully satisfied with my art. However there is no point of getting this through your skull but I guess you can continue to think with that terrible flawed mindset. All I have left to say before I stop talking to you and move on with my life is that hating others due to them being better than you will get you nowhere,it will only bring you misery and make you hate what you're doing even more. So goodbye,I'm going to block you now and get back to LEARNING how to draw and I hope you can do the same.

jesus christ, "genetics" determine artistic skill and children cant draw good lmao
im a decade older and i never drew like i can now (and any drawing of mine was ass before i first picked up the hobby online)
you can draw better than me, but these arguments are so god damn fucked
within about half to a whole year, ive minorly improved and made what id consider despite saying i cant draw somewhat acceptable art, so what does that say about "genetics"/being born with skill and matter of age and requiring more than average time to perfect a craft (let alone i didn't need any guides for what i make)
i may say my art is shit, but me and other users combating your arguments know where we come from
in a form like art, it is most likely true that anyone can make it in the field, and it's not something that goes as far as fucking athletic shit

I specifically said that I was appalled that there are minors who can draw like gods despite their inexperience. Look up a bara artist called Dilukha. Artistic ability is not learned or earned. It is not a skill. It’s a natural talent for the freaks of nature born lucky enough to have it.

you implied that minors cant reach those lengths
if they can draw like gods, that doesnt sound like "inexperience"

how do you process these thoughts back to yourself...

It is literally impossible to be BORN a professional artist. Your growth speed on art all depends on adaptation, your learning speed, and your patience. You can't be born an artist, but people who draw good at younger ages simply have better mentality on growth, and are able to learn and understand faster than others. And even then, you don't need to be super-human in terms of mental strength to be a good artist, all it takes is training and dedication. And even then, I bet those of us who actually do draw perfectly at young ages are only the 1%, not everyone here has that level of skill. You can bitch and moan about Goonie and "popufur" artists all you like because you're entitled to your opinion. But if you use that as an excuse to stop practicing art and give up in getting better, than you've lost already. Like I said before, I feel envious too about better artists, and wish I had their skills and secrets of the trade to grow faster. But I try and I try and I improve. So stop being a whiny little lazy child, and pick up a pencil and paper, and start actually trying to improve. And you don't have to be a god at drawing to be noticed, choose another path in life you think you're better at, and I'll tell you even then you'll need practice for it. There is no such thing as perfect, there are no prodigy's, and there is no luck involved. It's just people who are going with the flow of growth, rather than fighting it. Improvise, adapt, overcome.

And if you really think Art is genetic, use me as an example. My father was an amazing artist, his shit could rival that of actual comic book artists and I loved it. And then look at me, drawing for more than two years and I've barely even reached halfway there to his skill level. I can't even draw without having a breakdown on the nightmare that is digitigrade legs. Art is not born, it isn't genetic. There's just traits people take on that help them on the journey to improvement, but even then, these traits are all mental. You don't need to be strong, or smart, or fast, or even anything physically to do art, you just need a good mind, a steady hand, and patience

I've already addressed the "pursue another career" point. Art is the only option I have if I am to succeed in my goals, but it's unobtainable. My lack of talent prevents me from having the potential to. My years of experience taught me as much. There's nothing worse than spending years grinding in a fruitless attempt at perfection only to never succeed and being told that you never tried. I have tried. I gave everything my all for years, and higher breeds under the age of 20 boast their ability within a fraction of that time.

Ehhh sorry, but I don't really believe you. Maybe you have a condition that prevents you from drawing you (maybe dysgraphia?). It sounds more like you just bought the books and classes and you didn't actually practice, or you didn't pay attention. This idea runs contrary to people starting to draw as adults (with their initial drawing looking like shit) and becoming substantially better over time, 99.9% this happens and 0.01% of the time people genuinely never get better because of dysgraphia, or some other related physical disorder. Art and drawing is just like any other skill: sports, programming, music, mathematics, writing, etc. if you're not lying, sorry it didn't work out for you, if you don't have a medical disorder you're probably doing something wrong in the learning process (i.e. not paying attention, not following along with lecture and required practice). Maybe you should actually go to a community college and go to an art class so a professor can help you in real time. Or, you can just do something else with your life, like sports, music, etc. Also, there will also be good artists who have shitty personalities with large followings, Hitler was arguably the worst person to ever exist but his art was breathtaking and he had a massive following. I don't agree that this artist is bad but you need to stop being so bent out of shape about badly worded tweets other people make, life is more than that, and clearly, it's a big deal to you because you're literally wishing death upon this person. Honestly. the comment about hoping they die tells me about your personality and it's likely that you're just lying about trying for years or you're greatly exaggerating, grow up dude.

Well apparently you haven't tried enough in those years then. And how is being able to draw well and under the age of 20 a higher breed? I had friends that draw near game design level and that doesn't bother me, hell they inspired me to take a shot at trying to reach that kind of level

Assuming these friends are Japanese demigod-level artists and you can't draw at all, I'll hope the best for you. I don't expect any results, but if you surpass Goonie within a year or two, I might reconsider my beliefs. For all I know, you could be a higher breed already and be meerly humblebragging your inherent superiority.

I keep addressing the “pursue another career” argument. It’s getting stale. I’m naturally gifted in a few fields. That may sound like a good thing to you, but it’s a shame that those natural talents I have are occupations that I hate. I never wanted to be a chef, but my cooking is praised. People constantly tell me that I should pursue that field. I hate cooking. I despise everything to do with it, yet I was born with that as an inherent ability. I’ll never achieve in the field I actually want because I was born with the wrong talents. I studied regularly for years, learned all of the technical skills, but never developed a style or anything that could make my art look appealing.

The final straw was when already huge artists began to steal my ideas, gaining massive praise as a result. It felt like cuckolding. Everything I worked for was robbed from me, and I was told it’s okay because “he made it better” than I ever could. There’s a quote from Picasso, noting that the greatest artists steal from others. I think it’s perfect representation of what this profession really is.

I don’t know why I keep coming back here. Looking at Goon’s recent content, it looks like he’s turning the perfect Pikachu fanart into a mainstay character, which only serves to enhance my anger. Part of me feels it was intentionally to spite me and I doubt it would be above him. It’s no coincidence that I picked this particular piece to post on.

I know I’m super late and the main guy hid all his comments but I wanted to mention that one of the fastest runners in the world was born missing feet. You can absolutely be the best if you put enough time, dedication and passion but you have to be honest with yourself about your work. How long are you practicing, are you getting the best teachers you can, how much time are you spending outside practice working on it. I was/am passionate about archery and I would spend almost any chance I got to shoot, I got in touch with one of the only archery coach’s in my city, any time I was standing or walk or sitting I would practice my draw and release. I would play the shots I missed over and over in my head till I knew what the issue was. I was one of the best shots in the class and almost passed all the shootings tests to become an instructor even though I’m pretty weak in draw strength for my size and have a tremor in hands that makes doing fine motor task really difficult.

Wondering how this guy is doing. Probably supporting AI art out of spite.
