    This does not mean the comic is back

    Kuro just said in the description and even in previous final page descriptions that this is only gonna be an occasional project now. He's not making money off of this, and it won't be prioritized, least I wouldn't think so. It'll just be a rare sighting every now and then.
    And even though I like the direction the reboot is going more than the original now, it's still nice to see our original bois again~
    But don't get you're hopes up. Who knows when we'll see them again. Sorry to crush dreams, but it's better for them to be hit earlier than later.

    But hey, who knows! If Kuro doesn't make any money off it, maybe he can still prioritize OG OE a bit. That would be nice~

    Great! this is perfect! Now perhaps Envy can finally have a actual scene with Sam, rather than just piggybacking off of Greed's. Why, there's even a catalyst for them to screw! All Envy has to do is call Sam to her room (or lab), ask him to let her run a few tests, and as a reward, they fuck. And there you have it folks, Sam and Envy's sex scene!

    Since people are still arguing over this, I think I should give my perspective on it as I was directly involved.

    Starting back in late May last year, people started receiving DMCA takedowns on Patreon (and a few recently, but they've for the most part stopped) as well as on Twitter. On Patreon, it was Nintendo responsible for the removals, but probably not in the way you'd think. Nintendo uses a bot to scrape URLs based on keywords, which is how they manage to remove so many URLs- in the hundreds- at once with only a small firm sending them (Nintendo uses Wildwood Law Group LLC for such matters, they're a group of ~5 attorneys). They don't review or even view any of the posts they remove- which is actually illegal, as they're required to in order to make a fair use judgment before sending a DMCA takedown, they just know no one will take them to court for it so they do it anyway. But keep in mind that IANAL, I just have some legal knowledge.

    When it comes to the posts on Twitter that were removed, it was just some clown sending a copy-pasted version of an old takedown notice from 2016 and slapping a fake name on them. I wrote a bunch of counter-notifications for artists at the time and now it's as if those removals never happened, as the posts are back up. Still don't know who's sending all those phony claims though.

    tl;dr OSE was swept along with a lot of other art by a bot Nintendo's using to scrape URLs based on titles which they use to mass remove Patreon posts based on URLs returned by the bot, but anything removed on Twitter was by some dunce whose identity still remains unknown.

    Technically speaking, Nintendo illegally uses bots for DMCAs as they have to be proved, but nonetheless, Nintendo's huge, sooooo...

    Oh, and he could just accept donations in the name of continuing his artwork in general and just happen to apply part of it to OG OE, meaning it technically isn't making money off of OG OE, and hence he technically isn't infringing the terms of the DMCA. When dealing with companies like Nintendo who constantly shoot down the raw passion of their fanbase, it's always best to fight technicalities with technicalities.

    As LegalEagle often says, "It's time to think like a lawyer."
