Description

Here is my first long-form animation: Lily's Sleepover!

This is a little mini episode based on the show Max & Ruby, where Max's friend Lily comes over to play. This idea was originally suggested by comjuke as a comic, but after watching a few episodes I thought it would be fun to try to animate it in a similar style to the show!

The original show used Flash animation but here I am using the grease pencil in Blender for the first time. I would have to say it's a complete success! Normally I do frame-by-frame animation, but after making this episode I can't say one method is outright superior to the other, they each have advantages and disadvantages. I'm still not perfect at drawing these characters but I'm very happy with how closely it matches the original art style.

    Not part of my childhood so I guess I'm not as scarred as some around here seem to be. This was an odd mix of cute, innocent, and naughty. To be honest, I liked it!

    Ya, I concur with your statement. I find the first half to be very sweet. The second half, while a bit more erotic, I still think is rather adorable and they seem so happy together. This made my day. :)

    generally im not one to judge things like that, especially based on the artstyle but, im pretty szure that, if this was anything other than max and ruby in its original artstyle, this could be really, really good. like this its just kinda cursed.

    Now, cursed in this case not meaning bad just...
    inexplainable.

    Nice transition from innocent to naughty, music is odd, but it work.

    Wish it would just be common, to make lewd versions off every pretty/cute cartoon episode/movie. missed opportunities.

    Hmm... I have mixed feelings. Idk, I like cubs, but something about them being animated makes them feel too close to actual children; especially since this animation is mimicking the original show. Very well done, but not quite for me.

    This is one of those things that's weird, because I was much too old for this show so there's no revisiting childhood things with a sexual tint, and without that curious kind of nostalgia it just hits me as weird and uncomfortable.

    That said more power to the creators and whoever *is* enjoying it.

    Blender really can do fucking everything, eh? From 3d modeling to editing videos to drawing. This isn't quite how I remember the characters looking in the show but it's eerily impressive.

    I’m really torn on how I feel about this. It could have been cute in a way but it kinda verges into uncanny valley territory. The fact that it’s based on a show I watched in elementary school doesn’t help either. I mean it is my fault for searching for Max and Ruby on a site known for porn but something about this makes me uncomfortable. It’s not the fact that it’s cub either; I’m completely fine with that stuff. I’m just at a loss.

    Yeah it was cursed. However, I'm also somewhat glad I watched this just because of the music cause it brought back a lot of images from my childhood I forgot. Sorta mad that it had to be from porn of it though that I remembered shit lmao

    I love how wholesome this is!

    And all the teasing too, thought it was gonna be only suggestive so I was surprised by the end

    May not be canon but man this takes me back and makes me miss max and his trouble making lol but dang the fact that rabits reproduce around that age amazes me to this day

    IDK what any of you mean by cursed, the animation is well made and faithful to the original show, if you're on about the content itself, I can see why people would be adverse to it but I wouldn't think that would qualify it for cursed.
