Im totally out of the loop on this one, what is the drama about?

Most users who commented on the original Twitter post were angry the artist chose to put the Confederate flag on the bra of the character in the centre.

    that's it

To be fair, Twitter became a place for Social Justice Warriors. An echo-chamber for the permanent insulted and constantly oppressed victims.
( Don't get me wrong, it's a duty to speak against homophobia, racism, etc. but the people there are fanatics)

You're saying that they're crazy for finding it offensive, but you state the reason why it's justified for them to act the way they are. They're not fanatics at all, they're people who faithfully follow the ideology to a T. They'll laugh at you if you complain about SJWs because it's always been "extreme, mean, violent, irrational, or loud", you just didn't see it because they had good optics/PR. It's been like this from the very start and their bad ideas haven't made anything better if the constant riots, unsafe neighborhoods, burning cities, and massive wealth inequality are anything to go by. It's emblematic of their ideology to define good things/people as evil while labeling evil things/people as good. That's why they want that artist punished for drawing a flag bikini while praising criminals who rob/hurt others uninvolved with cop killings.

Don't believe in their lies about "fighting for more rights" as they all want to tie your rights to party loyalty. They will claim to support workers and free education for students, but will later fire or expel people via coordinated doxing campaigns on twitter to those who criticize their ideology. They will even decline healthcare treatment to you if they obtain power.

Even if you don't buy my ramblings, it's obvious to everyone that it's a flawed dishonest worldview in general because they redefine those terms as a means of controlling institutions and people. As a result of giving the freedom that they've asked for, they're now restricting yours. If CHAZ is of indication, things will continue to become worse until people take a stand. Good trees cannot grow from a flawed foundation and you'll see the outcome of it if they win.

    This

    Exactly what I mean ;)

By calling them fanatics I want to say that they take stuff and claim ridicolous things. Best example is the media industry: "Not enough PoC in the movie/game = racist" "Atrractive/Fit/Healthy women? = misogynistic / male glare magnet!" "That character should be over-obviously gay/lesbian/trans etc. or else it looks like they're praising the 3rd Reich"

Which in return currently ruins Hollywood as people in charge there listen to them - nearly nobody pays for Political Correctness Education (Birds of Prey producers blamed "sexist men" for their flop as example). Same goes for comics (Marvel "New New Warriors" for a good laugh). Oh, and the book burnings of Harry Potter because J.K. Rowling dared to let the killer in her new book wear woman clothing (tRaNsPhObIc)

My personal opinion is that homo- trans- etc.-sexuality or race shouldn't make a different in society and that women have to be treated with respect without turning it into a facist like political agenda at all costs (like those people want).
And I'm a german - such idiots currently run the country :/

You're right, also it seems like rebel flag sounds better than confederate flag and I think that's what it's referred to as. I may be wrong correct me if I am.

Doesnt matter what you call it, the south lost, call it the flag of losers or flag of traitors, call it whatever you want, in reality its just part of a battle flag from a losing army of racists.

People keeps forgetting than sometimes artists do this for dragging a shitload of attention/spicing things up, in the reality they do not really care about movements that does not really affect anyone who have a normal mental stability.

It really seems like it should be the other way around. In any case, the Battle Flag of the Confederate Army was featured pretty distinctly on the national flag of the CSA from 1863 onward. It's kinda hard to separate the heritage of the CSA from the history of the Confederate Army, given the fact that the CSA was at war for it's entire four year history. What that represents is a bottomless cesspool of internet arguments that I'm not about to dive into. But I will dip my toe, and reiterate the point that it really doesn't seem like you can have one flag (and the ideologies it represents) without the other.

Confederate battle flag. Most people think it's the national flag but it's not. Many countries today have separate war flags.

  • Alright I'm a southerner I will end this debate quick, the flag you see the middle girl wearing symbolizes segregation, slavery, and racism, 3 out of 11 states that were part of the Confederate States of America believe it means heritage the rest believe racism, if you truly want to fly that southern heritage and pride flag, fly the red, white, and blue, fly The Colors, fly The Star Spangled Banner because that's our heritage dont fly a flag that hated others for their skin, fly a flag that believes in freedom, in democracy, and in unity, fly the American flag
(Also fun fact: that flag is called "Battle Flag of the Army of Tennessee" its similar to "The Second Confederate Navy Jack" also love each other please <3 )

  • I love how furries are willing to tolerate everything from sexualized cubs to people being eaten alive to actual dog fuckers. yet something as relatively tame as a confederate flag is "extreme" and cause for outrage.

The Confederate States of America, as they knew themselves, were a faction of reactionaries who believed that Abraham Lincoln was going to ban slavery (while he had no love for the institution, and indeed, saw it as evil, it wasn't his main goal, and he stated clearly that his priority would be the Union.), and sought to secede from the union for the purpose of keeping slavery, convincing the poor to fight their war through a combination of white supremacist ideology, the idea of a "servile insurrection", and direct participation by basically renting out their slaves to poorer individuals so that they too would directly benefit from the institution, despite not actually owning Slaves themselves.

For the entire four years of the Confederacy's existence, it was fighting the bloodiest war on US soil before or since. Individual battles rising up to tens of thousands of dead soldiers.

In the end, more than 600 thousand soldiers died in the conflict, all because the side that flew a flag with a star-studded blue cross wanted to own human beings as property. This was a practice which was becoming increasingly uncommon and discouraged in the western world for decades up until that point, with numerous examples of abolition working for others.

Today, Southerners have more than 200 years of history to base their identity on, yet there are so many who choose those four solitary years when their ancestors fought tooth-and-nail, risking life and limb to maintain a dying, evil institution out of racist belief. They fly the war flag of an inherently anti-American movement of white supremacists, and have the audacity to call it American patriotism.

The legacy of this dead wartime nation that lived only a year longer than Evolve? Black Codes, Jim Crow, the KKK, segregation, the ramifications of all, spanning multiple generations all the way to today. Statues and memorials built on a fabricated white-washing of history, by people who hadn't even lived during it.

Which is why there are so many more people who disapprove of that flag. Yet, that doesn't mean I disapprove of this use of it. By all means, let's see it be sexualized, and turned into a fetish symbol. I want to watch as all anyone can see when they see this flag goes from a misassigned source of historic regional pride, into just some bright, vivid colours covering the nipples of a big tiddy beach girl. Watch as the statues of the Confederacy are torn down, and their memory spat on, while their flag becomes nothing more than meaningless coloured cloth.
