It's heartwarming to see something like this, Laura was such a key character when you think about it hard enough. And in the end she kind of gets screwed, but at the same time you gotta ask yourself...what exactly would she bring to the story? We already have way to many non-combative characters. She deserved to be happy and in the end she was, but she deserved to be happy a bit longer.

Unless some chicanery goes down and gives everyone a good ending. Maybe something involving trance turning into a tiger to fix the poisoning and so he doesn’t outlive flora
