Considering how ... spectral ... GP was when we first met her, and the continued degradation of the state of her 'boyfriend', I am going to postulate that Pupper is drawing life energy from him to be more 'alive' herself, or at least more anchored on this plane.

At first, it may have been a plain ol' haunting, yet as GP regains more of herself she is relishing being able to maintain a 'normal' relationship again, and may not know what she is doing to her boyfriend; I pray Sted does not try to throw in an M. Night twist, where her boi is actually the murderer, and she is slowly seducing him while also killing him by degrees the whole time.

I have to disagree, assuming the unfinished (to my knowledge) comic series about them doing paranormal investigations is canon [1].

In that series, he looks significantly less tired (see pages 7 through 17) but it is clearly long into their relationship due to both their comfort with each other and her more lively and upbeat nature.

Though I too would like to see more about how their lives have evolved overtime, possible through a webcomic like the paranormal investigaters one.
