I won't pretend that boys' and girls' hormones aren't a thing, or that self-service at that age isn't a thing. It's something that needs to be explored by them without the interference of adults imposing their thoughts onto it.     something Grimart does very well is invoke sympathy for his characters in the reader; its in how he tells the story and displays the scenes.

    My bud and I used to do that as kids. Watching TMNT, thinking turtles don't make sense as ninjas but cats would be way better we used to LARP our adventures as badass cat ninjas. It never got too weird, but thinking back, boy that must have been cringey for my parents to see.
