Roan: You moron! The boss doesn’t care about me or you! Clovis doesn’t care about anyone but himself. …And that weird vendetta against those two assassins, for some reason.

Brutus: That’s not true. He sent you to get me out.

Roan: He didn’t send us! Sam and I only tried to get you out ‘caused we figured there’d be extra coin in it. We knew you were the boss’s favorite tool.

Roan: But he’s not coming back for us. That pompous prick would sooner let us all die than risk his own powdered ass!

Clovis: Well, it’s good to know how you really feel, Roan.

Roan: Ah! C-Clovis?!

    I'm assuming that the enchanted amulet Clovis got for staging the town attack is what's neutralizing Noras gender switch? I hope it gets damaged/lost in the upcoming battle. It should be fun to see everyones reaction when he suddenly turn back into a she.

    For real tho i have a feeling this is gonna lead to a major character arc for Clovis. We might get to see an affectionate side between him and Brutus (if the previous few strips offer any clues)
