Remember that condoms aren't exclusive to just prevent pregnancies.

My guess is that, if a different species mates with another species whichever’s parents genome is dominant is what the child takes on. And in this case a tiger and a human mated, Fathers genome was dominant and the result was the kid being human. But it could be something else you’d need to ask the author. (Sorry for bad grammar or misspelling using phone to type)

I was referring to the comments saying that if Keiko was going to get pregnant, it probably would have happened by now.

As far as I know, Piporete hasn't stated this so I'm deducing it from what I've read. Keiko's dad is a housecat and her mom is a lioness. Keiko is a lioness. Jin's dad is human and his mom is a tigress. Jin is a human. Therefore, we can deduce that the male child is the same "species" as the father and the female child is the same "species" as the mother. Sorry for sounding so clinical but I tend to get that way when I'm trying to figure something out.
