  • You know - I'm down for free speech and all that.
But I'm not cool with imbiciles who take a drawing so goddamn seriously because of what the character was wearing.

It's like people don't grasp the concept of "If you don't like what someone is wearing, then ignore them."
Cuz that's what you do in real-life.

  • Even though I don't agree with their last piece of art, Cancel Culture is terrible and I will not support it.

Am i missing something? To me this is just a neat looking picture

Miles posted this days after outrage when a shirt of a character in one of his artworks said "America First"
People accused him of racist, asked for an explanation, he refused to give one for a while, then whined about being silenced about it

Lol, Axrhyy's full of shit: https://twitter.com/Miles_DF/status/1335109590678179842?s=20

Being mad at this drawing is like being mad that a character in a movie does something unethical. Not only is it fiction, but is also the *entire point of the story*.

It all started from this artwork

That caused a controversy over racism? Like, all I'm seeing is America First. Okay, maybe that could ruffle a few feathers, but the rest of us, the sane ones, would just ignore that crap unless Miles himself says "Kill all minorities" or something like that.

America First is only a problem to people who think America's mere existence is a problem. No one with an ounce of sanity is outraged over that pic.

And here comes the wave of downvotes by those same people.

  • I thought people got angry because of the reference to America First, Nic Fuentes' (a fascist) show?

  • My biggest question is what's with the electric drill!

I wanna say... someone will run it for noise? That's a huge stretch on my part though!

There's a saw and a scalpel, too! This is an eclectic group of instruments

America First is a phrase that got heavily used in the past by the Ku Klux Klan and hails to the same phrases used by Nazi-Italy and Nazi-Germany to put the "natives" above the rest of the population. In the case of Germany it was the Aryans, in the case of Italy it was the followers of Mussolini, and in the US it was the "100% Americans", the white people that really wanted to get back to owning black slaves.

So yes, it's a dog whistle for the white supremacists in the US and has been used as such for more than a century.

good point but it's more the political part that people dislike rather than clothing tastes and also context matters

  • I feel bad for miles-df, dude made a piece of artwork I believe for himself and wanted to show it off, toxic assholes in this community got all but hurt. I hate the "woke" generation sometimes because they do shit like this and bully people over nothing.

Well, I know that the drill is symbolism for brainwashing and has been used as such in the past. Describing an idea being forced or "drilled" into the mind.

My guess is that the saw and scalpel are likely there in the same tune. Ways to get to the brain to force someone to think the way you do. The victim, of course, being the character and the way she thinks, not MilesDF. A little melodramatic but then again I wasn't the one with DMs overflowing with death threats at the time.
