Subchapter: Back in the Bush

Konosay and Tacha trot passed one of the communal kitchens, Konosay wearing his best grin while the girls preparing the mid-day meal giggle from deep in the kitchen. Pointing and whispering about the giant snake on the hunters shoulders.
“Hey Mezeeta.” Konosay not letting the opportunity slip by to pester Mezeeta just a little bit. He pokes the giant python several times and loudly inquires "Think you and the ladies can turn this into something nice?" Mezeeta lets the annoyance pass without a response.

A few more paces passed the Kitchen and they reach the smoke house. A chappy youth learning the trade and helping for that week pops out with some seasoned meats ready to be smoked. He nods at the two and their snake, “Oh, a snake.” seemingly indifferent to its size and peaks back into the smoke house for a moment. “Elder Len, Konosay and Tacha brought a big snake!” He smiles at the two hunters and carries on with his task. Elder Len steps out of the smoke house and looks at the kids for a moment. “That’s a big snake.”
“Yeah, Konosay almost got eaten by it.”
“I’m fine!”

Originally Konosay was going to soaked in snake blood but I'm debating making that version. These illustrations take a lot of time and I may simplify them in the future.
