I can't get the vidoe portion to show up when I download, all I get is audio. I've tried converting the file to an mp4 and it didn't work. I tried using online downloaders and some worked but gave me a heavy decrease in resolution. I can't tell what's wrong and I need help. My vidoe player says the vidoe codec of the file is not supported

If you're using an Iphone it's not working because Apple is a bitch (I own one).
Google made the .webm files imageboards tend to use, due to the fact all browsers can at least run them and how small/lightweight they are, but Apple wasn't happy about that so .webm just doesn't work on Iphone.

I don't know what 3rd-party video players you might want to use on your phone (but I would recommend looking into those), but if you get a computer in the future I can vouch for the MPV player working on literally everything I've thrown at it.

Also, I would recommend a computer(Windows) in general, you just have so many more options or ways to fix things than on a phone in my experience. Even if it's relatively outdated crap, just make sure it has an *actual* physical graphics card.
