I think they meant "him" to begin with and probably just mistyped/typoed.

But yeah the abuse was already there even before this, it's just now escalated to physical abuse. x.x

I figured it was a typo, but you never know. But ya, it's getting worse now that his dad isn't around to take the brunt of her abuse...

The first hit has got to be scary.

You already know they hate you. If they got mad enough to hit you once who's to say they won't do it again?

This happens a lot when a spouse leaves a relationship and suddenly there's nobody else to take it out on. It just goes downhill from there...
