She also gets to walk around with disfiguring burn scars across her face and body. But to say we hope she gets treated terribly because of that would also be saying that we hope for there to be people who will torment others because of their appearance... Of course, there are anyway.

the amount of aggressiveness I've seen these past pages in the comments worry me >w>, no I don't like her, I highly dislike her for being irresponsible and a shitty mother. these past pages I've just been explaining about the issues in the family and just bringing light to it all, I've seen parents do worse and the kid and parents still love each other, the only "abuse" I've seen is her when she's drunk and says she hates Leto, and when someone is drunk they are out of it and don't think properly, her slapping him once, is not that much of a big deal, I've seen worse hell, I've been slapped by my parents before, we still all love each other, its when were angry, and just thinking dumb shit, legit I just feel like you all need to grow some tough skin a bit. and no I don't like her, she should have gotten her ass up during the fire to help and do something, but I wouldn't expect much from someone whos in such a mental state. so no I'm not defending her, I just try to see the good in things because I'm not a negative person.

Being drunk is ABSOLUTELY NO excuse for malicious behavior. To be honest, the notion that it is valid is actually pretty concerning...

You are wholly responsible for your own actions, including getting drunk in the first place. She is also not kind to him when she is sober. Trying to look for the "good" in toxic people is not only unfair to yourself, but it also diminishes the hardships of people like Leto -- only those who are real and have to live with that kind of distressed relationship.

Just because she could be worse doesn't in any way mean that she is entitled to being tolerated when she does something heartless or negligent.

Thank you for saying it. I won't get too personal but seeing those sorts of comments about people living under bad parents/situations always makes me wanna like... yell or something. It's frustrating. x.x
