no.. thats just the now 'norm' american way,
what he needs is some one to actually be there for him and talk to even if he dont want to, which by the end you normally do.
normally family or your parents should be, but .. we know he has no family :/
an his mates not pushing him enough to open up (as he not been in similar situation before)
