  • Femboys are like the Diogenes chicken man argument but for sexuality. Femboys have most of the exact traits that straight men would normally find appealing, but since femboys are boys, any straight guy who unwittingly falls for a femboy is now suddenly gay, despite their sexual preferences never actually changing. The mere existence of femboys proves that the words "straight" and "gay" are meaningless. If you think about it for a while it isn't really all that surprising. People aren't attracted to a person's gender. People are attracted to more relevant traits, like aesthetic traits and personality traits. Some of those traits tend to be more common in one gender due to biology or culture, but gender itself was never part of the equation. Now that men are free to make lifestyle choices that used to be exclusive to women and vice versa, people are starting to realize that.

    What?

It's almost as if the femboy is only showing his feminine traits, and keeping anything masculine hidden, and the guy watching, who can only see what is being shown, reacts to just that. Since when liking feminine appearance makes you gay?
If you're a vegan, and you order vegan food, and it's REALLY GOOD, but halfway through you notice that it wasn't actually a vegan dish, do you accept that you are no longer vegan, or do you immediately stop eating and demand a refund?

It's the moment when feminine-looking person reveals that they are, in fact, not a female you expected them to be, and only acted feminine, is when people get repulsed. In my case, it's the violation of trust - they went so far to hide that they're a man, what else might they hide, or not tell you about? and the fact that I'm not attracted to masculine features, but I digress

Yes, a man might be attracted to a feminine person, but then decide that he's not interested anymore when he find out that person is another man. If the fact that the femboy is a boy is a deal breaker, then yeah, that guy is straight. That's not what's happening in this post though. In this case, the guy saw a feminine character, found out that he's a dude, and decided that he's okay with it. Therefore he's bi now. Despite his reasons for attraction never changing.

But, arguably, most people who identify as straight only claim that they don't like femboys because of the social stigma of being perceived as not straight. Take away that stigma, and there's almost no logical reason for someone who likes feminine girls to insist that they don't like femboys. A femboy can have nearly any combination of attractive traits a girl can have, and therefore would have a similar type of appeal. Someone who likes cute girl butts will most likely appreciate cute femboy butts. The one exception is if you specifically have a boob fetish or something. Even then, it's possible to really like boobs but also be strongly attracted to other things.

I'm just imagining someone groping a femboy crotch, declaring: "Behold! A woman!"

Yknow there's a shitload of people who absolutely will not fuck someone who has a dick. That's extremely important and you're acting like it's not even a factor. This ain't elementary school. Attraction to someone implies you wanna fuck at some point. If you don't, you're not attracted the same way as someone who is trying to fuck. It doesn't have to be strictly platonic but intending to fuck definitely is not part of a platonic relationship.

I'm going to have to second this. There's a reason why traps are named traps.

I've always thought of it like this: if you're attracted to a femboy without realising it and tht attraction ends the moment you realise they're a guy, you're probably still straight. If it doesn't you're probably not. That said, trying to fit people into neat boxes that perfectly describes their sexuality is pretty much impossible, we're all individuals with unique tastes and preferances. It's pretty irrelevant to me since I'm pretty firmly bisexual at this point. Gimme that femboyass!

For me, I already had a full on crush on a guy, but it took some encouragement for me to realise that I probably want to fuck that guy.
