People don't like potential death much less those of favorites like Brutus, Nibbly and others. Though Nibbly defied death once before and may not even be a squirrel.

The shadow in the last panel is clearly squirrel shaped, though. Theres no reason to assume she's not currently defying death o3o

It's a bit more obvious when you see the text that accompanies that last panel. It's also from Nibbly's perspective...

Yeah if she was ever gonna reveal something important it would be about now :O

Didn't actually realize it was Nibb's perspective and thought the wolf had turned around again.

Basically Nibbs transforming which is why the wolf cuts himself off and it's from Scythe's perspective

Nibbly is clearly a fire type, his attack wasn't very effective.

He's really in fur it now.

Don't forget that Nibbly is a trained attack squirrel.

So I assume the next page will cut back to another group now.
