  • And here enters the old comic that I once have seen:

    Death: We are departing now

    Dog: I was a good dog?

    Death: No... you were the BEST dog

    F in the chat for Brutus, now and forever ;-;

    Interesting wording there, Tom

    Now the theory crafters are gonna get all worked up

    The most probable thing is that he'll turn into an errand soul or something's going to happen, but I doubt seriously that he'll revive ;-;

    There IS always the possibilty Clovis couldn't actually finish the job as unlikely as it is.

    Hell for all we know he did it first hand to keep anyone from figuring things out so he could erase Brutus's memory.

    Obviously very unlikely, but as this is Tom he could very well have gauged the reaction and changed things.

  • I know a lot of people are hung up on the notion that Brutus isn't actually dead, but the wording of the description for this image makes me think of another possibility: he's "visiting" because he's bound for the Other Place, just misdirected or a paperwork error.

    I mean, AFAIK he was a member of an assassins guild of his own choice, and I can't recall him being shown as having any problems with actually doing "bad" stuff. Heck, think of how he got into the Legacy Manor in the first place. Not exactly "lovable idiot wanders in by mistake".

    i love Brutus too but your point is valid however I would like to think that based on circumstances as well as the nature of him as a person will factor in along with his actions. Meaning that he will still go to heaven because wile he was a combatant his heart was pure and his cause at least for him may not have been malevolent. The complication of the circumstances should way in. Think of it like a soldier in combat, what he’s doing by all theistic measures are a great way to not get in to your chosen religions heaven but the reasoning behind how you got there why your doing what your doing and who your doing it for would weigh in. In my opinion.

    My headcanon has a habit of imagining Brutus as the furry version of Forrest Gump...

    I can see why you would think that I just fell Brutus is a lovable character but a bit more complicated than just dumb loyal brute, after all Clovis employed him for some time. Mostly do to unwavering loyalty but loyalty alone doesn’t make you useful on or off the battlefield, and in an assassins guild he had to be useful for something.

    I personally think he was loyal a nice person but an expert in combat combined with pure brutish strength he was most likely devastating in a fight, while also being the sweetest person in the world.
    Also just because your an assassin or mercenary or have killed multiple times does not mean your destined for hell, hades or whatever location opposite to your chosen regions version of heaven is. There are a few instances in the Bible were known murders and soldiers are forgiven and some religions are more lenient than others.

    Also Brutus might not have actually engaged in contract killings he seemed more like a body guard so there is that as well he may very well be completely innocent of any real wrongdoing and may have just worked in a protective role the entire time.

    I doubt the notion of hell exists in this universe, probably closer to a spirit world of sorts. But my guy Brutus WAS the bodyguard of a crime lord you don't really get there without breaking a few bones and potentially a few necks i would imagine (Just a theory though, they did know each other since they were kids) and his last crime was literally burning down a city with people in it. He is a goofball, sure, but he knows what fire does as he is afraid of it. If there was a hell he'd be dancing the line pretty closely. BUT considering there are 3 gods (The 3 masks of the Basitin, humans, and Keidran (Ephemural) and potentially a higher god that created them) it seems doubtful hell exists.
