It started with a VIP pass. Which sounded like a fun time, at first, ever since it toppled out of your mailbox. You had sent in all those competition entries, after all. And how it felt in your hands, oh, the bubbling excitement, how your heart raced!

But then you arrived - an hour early, but you were let in anyway - and your handler was called away. Some frustrating problem about grips or lights or something. You were banking on a whole tour, finishing off with prime seating for the concert, but in the pre-show rush you were just... abandoned. Alone, in the hurricane of activity. Your VIP pass dangling from your neck...

And that's when they found you. The one person who doesn't have anything to do before the show.

It's them. The Pokémon taking the rock gigs by storm. Bringing back the glam, bringing the teeth. Getting their claws and fangs into the scene. Their lightning-streaked face tacked up on countless bedroom walls. Taped in prime place above your bed...

Here. Grinning. Staring at you.

You knew it would be a VIP experience, but this? Following the cocky, swaying hips of the Rock God of growls...?

Your nervousness, your star-struck stuttering - it's like fuel to them. They cackle, curling their tail around your waist, keeping you close, drinking in your wide eyes and wonder...

That's probably why they noticed, honestly. You thought you were surreptitious enough with your glances. But you didn't realise that they knew where you were looking, not until they led you backstage. The cable-strewn darkness oddly empty in the last few minutes before the show, the air cool and rumbling with a dull roar, just behind that curtain...

Don't give a fuck about the crowd. You're the only fan that matters right now. Stage lights gleam off their fangs.
