Memberi think they've retired from the fandom
Dragoe
Memberwell that fucking sucks

edit: yeah twitter account deleted and furrafinity account no longer active, this is kinda pathetic but i actually have nostalgia for their work and this lowkey kinda hit hard
IKeaton
MemberYeah thats a damn shame, was wondering why i stopped seeing their stuff
JChain18
MemberWent out on top and on their own terms. Many can't say that. They will be missed but its their choice to make.

MemberYeah its a shame and not pathetic at all, I'll really miss him. After all Pho was the entire reason I got into art in the first place and seeing him go hurts quite a lot. However he has his reasons and will wish him the best.

MemberConsidering their level of skill they probably got picked up by a studio.
The-Silent-One
MemberIt's possible to find a lot lf their artwork on exhentai (maybe e-hentai as well) but i dot think this particular piece is on there...
(
If the link doesn't work for you, replace the x with - to go to the e-hentai version of the page.

MemberPhotonoko was possibly the most technically skilled furry artist of all time.
so sad that we won't get any more of their artworks :(
IIRMPII
MemberPhotonoko actually explained why they left on comment #4426752 and comment #5059776. Sometimes they post new stuff directly here.

MemberSo this is probably last pic by Photonoko I will ever see? So be it. It was nice while it lasted. Godspeed for artist and good memories for us.
PS. I demand tradition to be uphold and big eye edit be done!

MemberIt bothers me immensely that Photonoko would continue to stream themselves making the art, but not actually upload any of it. I get that the environment of social media isn't for them, but doing that to people who are genuinely interested in your work is just awful. All I want is to see more of their work, and it's a damn shame that they have decided that it just isn't worth it, when so many people think it is.
Felicity Longis
MemberIt's their art; they can do with it as they please, and aren't obligated to share it with anyone if they don't want to.
edit: I like that photonoko comes out and says that part of this is him being tired of fake friends just looking for free art, and this gets downvoted because people aren't getting their free art anymore. What is it about you people that makes you think the mere act of being an artist obliges someone to share that art for free, or at all?

MemberNo more Art Posted Publicly? Private Art Stream and need Key? So How are we suppose to see it? Anyway to support? Patreon? Subscribestar? Any platform which we can throw money to? I don't get it what kind of method is he doing now? Who the hell has his consent to view his stream? Ghost? Commissioner? How to even commision him if he doesn’t accept it?
He is such a talent artist why wasted it like that? Even if you need to quit, just give a sensible reason. I have a work, or I unable to stay online anymore. Or at least say that I don’t draw for public share anymore, most of it I draw for fun and personal use. Don’t make people questioning and lose hope with you. People still willing to pay for a nice art. By the way, how did OP even get to access his stream? Are you a commissioner, close relatives? Friends? Please we need answer. A much sensible one.

MemberYes, I agree it is their own work and their own choices. But you can’t just ghosting like that. At least give a specific reason why you’re leaving. By saying that “I made art because I enjoy it” is already enough of a reason.
You have a fan base. People who support you when start posting. People who will PAY you to draw for them. Without us you were nothing. We were the one that share your art around the internet. We were the one who say the artist name when they ask “who draw that”. We were the one who make you become a popular artist. Don’t disappoint your fan. We not trash to just being left behind. We still has hope, hoping that you will come back and made more commission.
(Can’t believe I got downvote...)

MemberBy the way it is pointless to argue. We just wait on how it is going end. Either he done on making art and move on to what he was doing now (work or somethin), or he start to take commission again because he ran out of money.
Your talent we never forget. Thanks for sharing what you have Pho.

MemberNot that they owe it to you, but they did, so...
It's almost like making money isn't the only motivation one might have for creating art. Strange.
Oh, yikes. Really? You wanna talk about bad attitudes...
Nobody owes you anything for voluntarily sharing their work. In any case, hitting "retweet" and posting to e621 (which the artist does by themselves anyway) isn't really much effort compared to the massive amounts of time and energy spent honing a craft. This stuff doesn't just show up on your screen; it's hard, time consuming work. While I'm sure every artist appreciates the exposure, and giving something back to the community in exchange is a nice gesture, it's hardly an obligation. Especially when people like you clearly only do it to get that art out of them (which is sorta why the artist left the community behind. Shocker!)
And artists aren't slaves you can push around :3
Really? Can't you?
edit: mmm, I see the entitlement train is back :3

MemberMan, Pho sounds like a kind person who had a rough time. I've heard similar reasoning given by many an artist. Even I only drop my art on people semi-privately and at random because I have no interest in being "beholden" to a fan-following. Parasocial relationships are very stressful on the person who's facing the public.
I miss seeing their stuff and I hope they're doing well!

MemberIt's probably just life that got in the way.
Just be patient people.

Memberdamn looks like a mess
Well whatever happens i hope hes doing alright
Photonoko
MemberWas pretty surprised to see this uploaded here the other day lol, still feels super work in progress-y. Will have to work this one out.
Also I understand there's a lot of confusion and it's hard to keep track of it all when I leave explanations on seemingly random image posts. So if you read this and have any questions just send me a direct message on here or furaffinity. I'm not always logged in but I figure it's better than nothing.
Thank you for all the support either way!

MemberHe uh, still draws you know. He streams every now and then. He's not as prolific and doesn't have a social media presence but like he still makes stuff.
