The key difference between domination and actual abuse is that the dominant person will stop if the sub genuinely does not consent or revokes consent. Clear rules and boundaries(plus a safe word) are essential and should be established prior to any action. Dom/sub play can be a lot of fun when you know you're not actually in an abusive situation.
