True. Also probably worth making note that Jar Jar isn't the only Gungan that speaks like that. (Might be a dialect regional to Gungans of Naboo.)

But the artist claims this is Jar Jar, and I'm not familiar with any identifying patterns or markings to suggest otherwise.

(It is rather unfortunate how Jar Jar's character kinda "ruined" the species' reputation as a whole.)

Finally someone that talks reason! It is kinda hard to distinguish Jar Jar from any basal Gungan because he's kinda the basis for every Gungan design-wise. Best I can tell those markings on hi- her arms and legs are the most obvious tell. A look at a couple screenshots from the movies shows he's pretty much the only on-screen Gungan with those arm markings.
And yeah Jar Jar's debute in Episode 1 was just too slapstick. Meanwhile Clone Wars cartoon Jar Jar is one of my favorite Star Wars characters because they make him, like, an actual character instead of a walking plot device/comedy engine. Very sad.

  • The tendency to put pubic fuzz where it doesn't make sense (aquatic species with no demonstrated hair elsewhere, even MORE on species that are already fully furred so they don't need more insulation...) seems to be something of a thing. I can only guess it's a kink, because it just has no reason to be otherwise.
