12 years ago, Ava got involved in a complex three-way relationship between her sister and a Raichu named Thor. This complex triangle resulted in both her and her sister becoming pregnant. She later gave birth to a daughter; a rambunctious rebel of a girl named Cassidy. It was her first pregnancy and the circumstances around this relationship are still a bit complex. But she learned that while being a mother and caring for children is a pain in her butt, she just loved kids.

Ava had come a long way in those twelve years.

She learned that she was a "tetragametic chimera". The important bit was that she was effectively part Pikachu; specifically in her reproductive system and her blood. The rest of the explanation of how that was possible went well over her head at the time.

Ava graduated from university with a degree in pharmacology. It was her aspiration to be a pharmacist. She even began looking for a job in a pharmacy almost immediately. But there was just one niggling itch in the back of her mind...

Ava wanted another baby.

Since she lived with her sister and the father of both of their children, Ava had to talk to them both and try to figure something out. In the end they acceded to her request. She got her night with the Raichu that gave both her and her sister their family.

Ava learned that she got her wish for another baby two and a half weeks later; two pink lines on the home pregnancy tests stared back at her.

A little bit over 18 weeks went by. Ava lays on an examination table with her shirt pulled up to expose her baby bump for the doctor. She ignores the cold sensation of the ultrasound gel as she watches the doctor's thoughtful face with curiosity and maybe a small amount of concern. She wasn't able to see the sonogram's display unless she sat up, and she couldn't move during the examination.

The doctor moves the sonogram's wand around the Plusle's gravid belly a little further and stops. Their face cracks a small smile as they finally look her in the eyes.

"Its a boy. And a Pichu."
