    they serve them as disciplined corps members and treat them as they would anybody who lost a loved one.

  • Usually, I won't critique a picture for minor things...
    But, as a Marine, that soldier's salute is WAY too high...
    The tip of his forefinger should be right at the edge of his eyebrow, not with the tip of his thumb pressing against the base of his ear...

    Unless, that's how furry Marines do it?

    Still, I like the sentiment, even if it's a bit morose.

  • The guy in uniform is actually an ice cream man and he's blocking the sun with his hand. He's all out of tooty fruity :c

  • He is a USMC Officer and he is dress uniform. He is also saluting a civilian, which the Marines do not do. The poor guy is also crying meaning his mate was KIA. This is sad piece of art, but it conveys strong emotions for those who server and lost those who served.

    The hand is too high to obscure the eye which was probably deemed too difficult to draw from the angle.
