  • ...So they have a Playstation mat. They're using a Nintendo 64. The cartridge in the N64 is apparently somehow Halo 3 (An XBOX 360 game). They are stating they are playing Call of Duty Black Ops 3 (A PS4/ Xbox One title). The game on screen is DOOM 1 or DOOM 2 (PC titles). I'd like to claim I know both well enough to tell which just by that small glimpse of the map they are on but alas I can not. There is a DOOM 64 for the N64, but its art style is noticeably different from the original 2. And to top it all off, they seem to be implying all 3 of them are playing at the same time, when they are clearly in single player mode given the complete lack of split screen.

I think that lists everything wrong with this image. And the playstation mat is debatable. Since like you can own merchandise for one company and still play other companies consoles. For extra wrongness the N64 controllers should have been like Sega Dreamcast controllers or something.

Oh I almost missed one thing. None of the controllers are in the Player 1 slot.

bingo! you win. the only thing off is that the 64 cartridge is Halo 2, not halo 3. but youre right i should have made it dreamcast controllers. that would have been perfect.

Would have also been funny to have left one of the controllers unplugged, that's somewhat of an old joke in regards to "fake" gaming drawings/photos.

What if they replaced the insides of the N64 with a raspberry pi and use a N64 to usb adapter (or something custom made) and are playing some fancy doom port in turns ?

I feel physically sick. Is it bad that feel both scared to look at this and enraged at the same time?

I would have made them Wii remotes and not Sega Dreamcast controllers, but that's just my opinion. For even more extra wrongness.

  • Everyone's talking about how wrong all the video game-related details in this image are, yet nobody seems to talk about how annoying and uncomfortable it would be to play video games while your body is in such a weird posture

There is one more thing, but I'm not sure if this especiffically is intentional or not: The three controllers are different colors, yet in the plug end are all gray colored; no official N64 controller had a mismatching color.
    Nice butts, though.
