Uncensored original animation in GIF format

From source:

Renamon x Leomon

Here is the #renamon animation I have been working on for quite a while now.
Learned tons of methods to make a higher quality animation in less time, or so I think xD
We will see in the future.

I posted it a bit earlier for fans with larger resolution along with some variant loops over here:

And uncensored version here: https://baraag.net/@PowerOfSin/106046892698247103

    OK, that's super interesting.
So first of all this is GIF, not PNG. But for some reason only version I can find of this animation under "original" url is the MP4, but with "small" sample, you can definitely get this file by using PNG file extension in the URL, but GIF doesn't work.
I was already converting the MP4 to WebM, but it seems like this GIF is indeed the original GIF. There might be lot more GIFs from baraag with similar situation going on.

    Right, description fixed.
I found this "png" link in the page source named as preview_url and was surprised when I opened it and see it animating. Probably a bug on the site, but a good one that we can make use of.

It may be a bug on the source page but animated PNGs are a thing (APNG), which I think is super interesting in its own right.

Yes, however e621 always renames the file with MD5 hash and then extension from the header, rather than from the original filename, so e.g. .png from furaffinity really often changes into .jpg in here, because they are actually turned to JPG by FA, but they don't know how to code their sampler to change the filename correctly to reflect that... (source:*facdn*.png* width:1280 filetype:jpg)

But yeah, even I have uploaded a lot of these already, because they provide all the conviniences of GIF, but with full amount of colors, user:mairo apng

Looking at that it seems like it's part of the meta tags, meaning it's meant for previewing on chats and social. It might be so that the animations properly preview on these platforms, because videos cannot loop with most. APNG is also less supported (twitter actually supported it and then deliberately stopped them from working) and sampling GIF is basically impossibility because of how the optimization on them work.
