News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

Whatever you do, dont look down Ganesha!

Perhaps this is the first image of Śrī Gaṇeśa you've seen, but that mouse is The Blessed Lord's vāhana: a mystical mount that all Hindu devás have, although each devá has a unique mount different from the other. Lord Śiva’s vāhana, for example, is the anthropomorphic bull Nāḍi who is also the dvārapāla (gate-guardian) of Mt. Kailāsa, Śiva’s abode.

Now, while it might seem strange and physically impossible for anyone to ride a rodent, it is worth knowing that Lord Gaṇeśa is affectionately referred to as “The Little God” and that his size can always become what it needs to be, whether that be small enough to ride a mouse, or large enough to feel humanity from within.

Different scriptures and traditions sometimes attribute different names to the vāhanas and this is why I have not directly told what the mouse’s name is, as there is not a a mutually agreed upon name, or even whether it is mouse or a rat. As a mouse it sometimes called Mushika, but as rat it sometimes referred to as Akhuketana.
In fact, The Blessed One sometimes has different vāhanas (such as an elephant, tortoise, ram, or peacock) depending his which of his avatāras he chooses to manifest himself as.

I hope that I make no one uncomfortable by sharing this information about Lord Gaṇeś, he who removes all obstacles for his devoted followers. It is worth knowing about our vast ocean of religion and it’s diverse aspects since we have all been made acutely aware of the religions of the west.

    Om Shri Gaṇeshāya Namah
    Om Gaṃ Ganapataye Namah

you have to admit, to think Ganesh looks like something from Adventure time is retarded. Apparently e621 is quite 'progressive' when it comes to words chosen, so that's why I got voted down below threshold

probably will get below threshold here too...

You are extremely self-unaware, cringe and flat out stupid.
