Didn't they also wrap their feelers around their prey? Probably in a very different way though.

I don't think humans are on Sylveon's menu, let alone their beloved trainer (don't forget the fact that Eevee evolve to Sylveon only by learning a fairy move and having high friendship with their own trainer), unless Sylveon was a sexual predator, you should be fine around them.

Did the games ever state Sylveons even HAVE prey? They don't exactly seem like the "ruthless predator" type, especially considering they probably don't really occur in the wild thanks to their very particular evolution conditions.
Plus, if their feelers let them feel the emotions of people they touch, using them to trap and devour another creature would probably be unpleasant.
