well if you think about it thier legs are not realy 'spread appart', thats were thire legs are conected to thier bodys

3 years late, buuut...
it's the Game Over hand. In most Kirby games, it's the hand that either tucks in Kirby to sleep if the continue option isn't chosen. If it is, then the hand wakes Kirby up. Pretty obscure.
