This is not "American" Time. Most people do not use this format in America.
This format dates back 1000s of years ago and is used by many countries militaries as it is generally less confusing.

People have preconceived biases that they *really* want to affirm so they dont have to look at their hate filled lives and reflect, and rather than check to make sure their right about something as simple as a different time system, they'd rather be aggressive towards a stranger on the internet, military time is superior regardless of what these people think since you dont have to specificy am/pm
