I actually think the bar he's holding onto looks weirder. His fingers don't wrap around it, they just kind of exist on a layer behind a foreground element.

Also his hands are weirdly stretched where you can't see the beginnings of his fingers, making his palms just uncomfortably long.
You can especially see this on his left hand (our right).
