the post credits scene does imply something to that effect, but it isn't anything concrete. (If I had to speculate, an attitude like the mc from classroom of the elite might be what we'll see from them in the future.)

It wasn't 'implied,' so much as outright demonstrated. Kris ripped out their own soul and practically spiked it into a metal cage in the corner of their room. They then commented they weren't going to let the player control their story.

Other characters from the school mention that Kris used to be much more talkative and cheerful, before Ralsei went off to college, and their parents split up. Which suggests Kris is going through emotional trauma of some kind.

Finally, the fact the whole adventure takes place inside their imagination, suggests that Kris has mentally withdrawn themselves into their an elaborate fantasy world to avoid having to deal with the real one.
