I have other things I really need to be doing, but when I get struck with inspiration it's hard to focus on much else. So, I guess this had to happen first. I can't speak for you guys, but it seems to work for my brain just fine at least!
To be fair, my style overall is already a bit on the more cartoony side, I'm hardly a realism artist so the cartoony chinchilla doesn't have too far to go to bridge the gap. If I drew like Hun for example, I don't see this toony little cocksleeve fitting in very well... but I don't so that's not a problem, yay! At least, in flat colors. If I ever try to do a fully shaded picture it could cause more troubles, but for this type of situation the difference isn't too huge so they don't look too out of place next to a character like, say, BFCT.
I also could work to push the toony feeling of the Chin a little further, it's not something I'm super used to doing so that'll take some practice... but overall I quite like how this little experiment is turning out. It's fun to finally satisfy this particular craving my brain's had for like 15 years, I'm kind of amazed it took me this long to think of it. x3
Another semi-quick doodle, but gives a better look at what I'm imagining. Lemme know what you think! Also, feel free to suggest gender-neutral names for the chinchilla. I don't know if it'll last long enough to need one, but if it does it wouldn't hurt to have some in the back pocket.
