Many animals, such as snakes, eat eggs in the wild irl. The eggs just get digested like any other food. I assume that's the case here, too. Sad for Lopunny. :(

I dunno! I can hardly envision rena's womb eating her own egg since it has a playmate. Besides, I read something interesting about chickens.
