So what I’m learning about Monique so far is that:

She finds the sex with Amon and Kyra hot but wrong (possibly out of jealousy), doesn’t sort out a conversation like an adult, and now instead of looking for where Amon could be, she says she needs to check up on her dog.

What I’m gathering is Monique isn’t good mom.

Amon. A life lesson is knocking at your door. Shit needs to be dealt with at any moment whether you're ready or not. You can't partake in the pleasures of Adulthood without also facing its tumultuous responsibilities.

Everyone is bashing Monique but like damn chill. She has A LOT on her mind and going to some normalcy really can help. The dog being that normalcy. There are only so many fucks she can give at a given time, considering how Kyra has made the situation, she knows she is not what Amon wants right now. Monique can't make this situation better and she probably has realized that. Amon will come to her when he is ready.

She was more than happy to bring a stressful thing to her son, but now that the stress is turned on her, she acts like a Karen when someone mentions that the police are coming. AKA running away and acting like they are innocent in the matter and not the one at fault.

Dogs for sure are great to have

I kinda relate to Amon fleeing. Mostly because i did something similar when i was little, when my parents were fighting. Not the right choice. But i still know why he did it.

also i can relate with Amon as well, my brothers and my father would do the whole "I AM DOMINANT SO I NO LISTEN" thing and fight there problems out like a bunch of idiots, I had enough stress on my mind during that time I couldn't watch something like that and usually took one of the dogs out, normally shmokey or Rosie, and just leave for a couple of hours to let them cool and chill, sometimes I'd leave for half a day, jus under a tree with Rosie in a place no one would find me at.

and in my opion your kinda wrong in the sense he shouldn't when your dealing with things like this, it's ok to run off, go for a walk, hell stay at a motel room for a night even, take sometime to process it and then deal with it accordingly and brace yourself for the worst. Amon in this instance is probably going to do the same, just cool off and figure out what to do, but who knows it might be a perma thing he'll try. point I am saying is it's ok to walk off or go away for a little while, you need to take in and process the info, but do make sure you comeback to it, otherwise it will exist there non changing, and it will be hard to face it the longer you wait.
