    avoid posting ??? what

I've always been somewhat perplexed by people explicitly requesting DNP for their work. Like... why? This is basically free advertising on one of the largest furry image sharing sites on the Net. Why not capitalize on the extra traffic, in order to grow your off-platform followers or paid subscribers? I suppose people have their reasons but it's always seemed very strange to me.

A lot of people don't like E6 because of its awful moderation. And if an artist doesn't want their art to be reuploaded somewhere, then we should respect that.
And Fardraws was on the DNP list. But was later removed without their knowledge. (Either by an impersonator or an oblivious moderator. Or both.)

And that is my fault because...?

  • If i flag my own post for deletion and use DNP as the reason, my account will be terminated because FarDrawsBad isn't in the DNP list, and moderators will think i am abusing it. There's quite LITERALLY nothing i can do unless FarDrawsBad contacts the moderators on why he got removed from the DNP list. I even tried to contact LewdOreoCat about it (yes that's a fucking O, not a G) and i got no response. Don't even TRY to pin this all on me.

I also LOVE how there's clearly three other FarDrawsBad pictures but somehow I am the asshole

My 1st sentence was just an example of why someone might not want to have their stuff uploaded to E6 specifically.
My 2nd sentence was refering to quite literally everyone. And that we should respect when an artist doesn't want their work somewhere.
My 3rd and 4th sentences where just mentioning that from what i know. Far should be on the DNP list right now, but isn't.
And my sentence in brackets are just 2 examples of how that could have happened. (And i should add that it could have been Far messing up when they sent the original take down. And so whoever handled the takedown didn't see it as a DNP request.)

And out of all the comments i can see as of writting this, both on here and on Far's tweet.
There are 3 that refer to you, one is a moderator. (or janitor in this case?)
One person says that you should have used reverse image search. But you did try and it diden't work, because of the country you live in. So you're right on that point.
And the last one is someone hating what you did. Which by extension means they probably don't like you for doing it. (And side note : They where not blaming discord, it was used as an example in a hypothetical quote.)

Apparently they had DNP status but it went away and they claim this isn’t the first time it’s happened

I see. They seem to have requested their work to be taken down a few years ago: https://e621.net/takedowns/9316
They did not request to be put on the DNP list, though. And you don't get put on the list unless you explicitly ask for that.

What they need to do is make a new request, ask to be put on the DNP list, and list all the different names they are using.

Edit: I've reached out to the artist on Twitter to let them know.
