I expected it to happen at some point back in the day because I think every future version they've shown in the show prior and iirc even in the comics before this episode aired, as well as in the alt timeline, Finn has a missing/robotic arm.

Finn's ambidextrous so I'd expect Fiona to be too so it doesn't matter

Because the show made some subtle hints foreshadowing that Finn would lose an arm at some point, so when it happened, everyone went bananas
