  • I have the vague suspicion that Chris is either going to buy her out from the boss or rip her (the boss, I mean) spleen out and put it back through the nose. I mean, he's huge, unbelievably strong, borderline indestructible and yet kind and heroic behind his gruff facade - basically he's got all the bits and bobs of the standard fantasy hero.

  • Damnit zummeng. Why do you have to make me feel bad for all your characters... I am trying to think of a character that is just happy for happiness sake. That said ease don't stop making these.

  • Holy christ she's literally a slave. Did not see that one coming.
Yeah, all for Christopher punching the blood out of her "mistress" he second she shows up.
    Fuck this brothel.

With the artifacts he sold in the beginning of the story it’s probably the first one, but i’m all for the boss getting their ass kicked too

  • The boss is back and just found out that their unicorn juice is missing. Now I definitely hope Chris buys her freedom from this place.

That expression in the second panel is really well done. That's the face of someone burying reality.

That's the "I'm smiling outside, but broken inside" look. She's just a few sentences from tears.

  • That second panel is a PERFECT example of 'the smile doesn't reach the eyes.'

Not something I've seen many artists pull off successfully. Obviously, the text plays into it, but even without the text, the expression conveys it magnificently.

...Sad as fuck, but magnificently done.

Also, the look in panel four as Chris suddenly gets it. He's one step short of horrified. I swear, Zummeng, I would like to see some of these comics without the word balloons because I have a sneaking suspicion that (except for details), they plot and interaction between the characters would come through just fine without a single sentence.

  • Her expression in the second panel down is one of someone who is facing the horror of their own existence, and yet has no idea what else to do except keep smiling at it.

  • It wouldn't affect the end result if he did or not, but her father to be stabbed to death so close to where he got the money, how likely would it that the 'boss' had someone follow the guy he just paid and 'retrieve' the cash for a zero-loss new sex slave?

  • As sad and heart wrenching as all that is, everyone reading should consider the fact that, with how 'flippantly(?)' she said all of that, it's not an uncommon circumstance. For there, our history, or even the present.

(Just look at the Harley Quinn movie, where her dad sold her for beer, and she broke back in.)

I'd honestly be happy if they just ended up going their separate ways but being life long friends.

Also, if he were to buy her from the brothel, what would they do then? She has no skills outside of being a prostitute, and he's a homeless-by-choice (sort of) adventurer.

BTW, love this story/ series/ universe.

she's already broken just realizing what she's saying to keep herself in the moment. being with her big boy here has her realizing she finally has a client that wants to know how SHE'S doing, and thats all it took to put a crack in it.

    I bet its the boss.

The rat's family probsbly own the brothel and the boss just works for them.

Now i wouldn't say it gonna be an explosive extraction, but, i think that brothel will be nothing but ash by the end of this comic

  • Could just be the receptionist knocking to get Nora's attention and warn her that the boss is coming(at least I hope that's the case. I don't want anything bad to happen to Nora).

  • It's the philosophical heart of "Joker", but in a furry porn comic. Neat.

Luckily, although that philosophy makes her crazy as a loon, it also gives our Shark hero his hardest fight yet: defeating the three headed monster of existential horror, mind-breaking nihilism, and zero self-worth... all while it's demonic energy possesses the body of someone you value.

    Good luck, Chris.

  • Just thinking...from her description, it seems clear that the bunch of over-confident barbarians that Chris mauled to save Nora, are the very ones who murdered Nora's father. Sometimes, justice can span years.

  • Ah man... I was only expecting happy crying tissue time, not sad crying tissue time. Poor girl doesn't know happiness and have true reasons to smile for. This girl deserves the best.
