as a being that relies on the lamp heat for the separation of the "external" goo that doesnt form part of its body, but has also been turned off for months while in stock, would just take shape again once the lamp is turned on once more, just dont try to take him out, that poor buddy is just limp goo.

I had a lava lamp once.

Somehow, the wax (or whatever is inside) molded itself around the heating coil and hardened to the point where it popped out of the fastenings.

Lamp never worked again. :-(
