All I know is that good ol' Miles DF doesnt ever show his brush strokes and smooths everything out with gradients, which is a big stylistic decision that just so happens to make everything look the same texture to me. if you're into that thats fine. they both put similar amounts of detail into their backgrounds, lighting, and compositions so it really just boils down to if you prefer smooth lads or not.
