  • Given that I've recently stumbled across a gory impaling post that has mostly up votes, I'm surprised and a little puzzled that this has a worse reception than that. There's no suffering, distress or death in this one. It's just a bit odd. We are a strange species to hate this more than actual horror porn.

Before anyone gets the wrong idea, I'd like to make this very clear. :
I'm not kink shaming; I'm just noting that it's odd that a softcore post is hated much more than an extremely hardcore post. It's not wrong, just odd because it's counterintuitive. There's nothing wrong with fetishes, nor with liking or hating them; only acting out certain fetishes, that would be unethical to do in reality, is wrong. Fantasy doesn't hurt anyone and your brain being wired a certain way is nothing to be ashamed of, so we should all feel comfortable in our own skin and with our own fetishes (no matter how strange or taboo they are, just as long as we're not actually hurting anyone) We should all have the liberty to do what we want in fictional (i.e. day dream/video game/story) universes and not care what others fantasise about doing; since fantasy doesn't exist, by definition. I'm also not even remotely implying that anyone here is kink shaming or doing anything wrong; I'm just trying to make my stance clear by adding this disclaimer.

I think this happens because people use their blacklist to avoid piss and worse bodily fluids, but since this doesn't actually have any of those really uncomfortable fetishes in it, it still ends up in peoples feed

TL,DR: it being weird and unusual cause more people to view it, leading to more people expressing their opinion whether they like it or not
