Wrong. It's more of an "Evil humans get in power and rebels gang up in small numbers from all sorts of backgrounds to save the submissive citizens from the dark empire" story.

Wow. Sounds a lot more like Star Wars than furry comics to me.

It's a lame ripoff of Zap!, but with furries.

Mysterious hero wakes up with no memory, who meets a girl shortly thereafter. It is soon discovered that he has psychic powers, and in his former life, was an agent of death and destruction. This creates a quandary surrounding the girl, with whom he has fallen in love.

  • It needn't be a 'Ripoff of Zap!' to have that kind of story. There's plenty of stories out there like that. I think that kind of story came to be because it's always more interesting when the character has a badass evil side, which is only suppressed by will, memory loss, or love. In the case of the latter of those three, a love interest must be introduced before that can be used as a measure for suppression, or in a bad situation, release of the badass-evil powers.

But enough of my blabbering. Funny comic is funny. :D

  • When I found this comic I started reading from the beginning, but gave up in about 20 comics because the guy remembered EVERYTHING someone from our world would know, and forgot EVERYTHING someone from our world wouldn't. Nice memory loss there chief.

  • Personally, amnesia stopped being a viable way to push a plot forward a long time ago. It's essentially the most cliche, soap-operaesque thing you could possibly do to your character.

Asides from an evil twin -- And really, how could there ever be too many of those?

Maybe not. Amnesia a tired trope, to be sure. But the scenario surrounding Trace was similar (or identical) enough for my mind to notice by half a dozen comics in.

I'm sure TwoKinds diverges later on in the storyline, but I didn't bother to read very much of it.
