Also pictures that looks more like mlp don't get mlp tag (like post #196451), so I don't see a reason why this should have it.

source doesnt mean jack most of the time. its tag what you see, not what you know. i dont see rainbow, i see an OC with rainbow hair.

That is a bit out of date. Stuff that are drawn as fan art or oc to the show are tag mlp just no fim Some people like the anthrofied stuff more since people don't like mlp style stuff or similar. The picture you linked has it's cutie mark edit out and it is mlp related since the artist created as a oc which is make feel like uploading the one with the cutie mark. And from that very same post someone got the shaft up his butt because he's blacklist couldn't stop it from showing up since it didn't have that tag....

So you can say it's not rainbow dash, but seriously... does everyone draw her exactly as she is in the show....

I would have expected you to link post #264613 since it's source is tagged mlp but here it is not since it clearly doesn't look mlp at all and no similarity to any character or cutie mark to speak of to have the character supposed origins in question other than a anthro pony.

Citation needed. Last thing I remember on this was forum #44264 where admins said that not everything in style of mlp get mlp tag, and this picture is IMO not really in MLP style. And for sure it's less than post #196451 which was mentioned in that forum thread. But maybe I'm missing something. If that's the case could you give a link?

No, just no. If someone is seeing my little pony everywhere it's a sign that xe needs serious psychological help, not that tags need to be changed. For example: we're not tagging blue belly as mlp, because someone sees mlp.

No, stop. The source of image is completely irrelevant to whether it should be tagged as mlp or not. Really, you're here long enough to know how Tag What You See rule works.

Also argument "people do this" is wrong. For example people are still tagging anthro to picture with only anthro characters, and this is still wrong.

This issue is still not answered by an admin in the forums. I would suggest start calling them out to make a difinitive rule on this so that we can stop the fighting and tag wars.

Calling us out is not going to get a solution any faster. I am currently waiting on other admins to respond to an updated forum post I made. These things simply take time, and again I am EXTREMELY BUSY right now. That should hopefully not be the case anymore by this weekend, but I just don't know.

I know you are and appreciate the knowledge that this is being addressed. I was just a bit upset to see an Admin to the site poking fun at someone noticing another problem with nearly the same issue instead of trying to remedy the problem or tell us that you are still trying to figure out a solution. Especially from an Admin that hands out permanent bad reports so easily.
