If you're talking about levels of completion (sketch -> color/shading) that's something that is common with a lot of artists, taking the time to finish different posts depending on the mood they're in or if they like one more so want to put more effort into it ect, ect, the only artists I've seen always push out completely finished artwork either push out one piece every couple of weeks, or completely burn themselves out from working 14 some odd hours a day on artwork. Otherwise I don't know what you'd be talking about unless you're comparing artwork they did years ago vs. hours ago which isn't usually a fair comparison considering, unless the artist has stagnated in their development.
