I was a regular girl during most of it. At the end I shifted into a 7ish foot anthro dragon and had the best flying experience I've ever had in a dream.

It was all first person, so all I could see were my hands, so I'm not really all that sure what I looked like. I was also too busy fleeing in terror from real dragons and monsters 1000 times larger than me to really care or question anything that was happening.

It was a nightmare, really. I love my nightmares though.

I don't remember what I looked like. All I remember was the incredible feeling of lifting off of a grassy hill by beating the wings on my back, like where the shoulder blades are? It felt incredibly realistic. It wasn't like simply throwing my wings back and magically flying upwards. I could feel my weight, and each time I beat my wings, I would fall slightly before the next beat, like you see with gargoyles and other winged creatures in movies. It took numerous beats to get to a reasonable altitude.

Although...in another dream a couple of years back, I was a red anthro dragon. In this dream, I remember the feeling of freedom soaring through the air. I remember feeling confident, powerful, and most of all, happy. Easily one of the best dreams I've had. Maybe it's my alternate universe self?

In my recent dream, I didn't have any notion that I was supposed to be human. In the one a couple of years back, I remember that I was supposed to be human, which made the experience in my first dream much better.

I once dreamed that I was a butterfly. But when I woke, I thought, what if I'm a butterfly dreaming I'm a man?
