    Yeah, after a quick Google it seems their tail tip fur pattern tells you their gender... I just learned that and I feel like a fake fan now!

    to be fair, they introduced that in 2018. so older fans that haven't touched any new game might still not now that

    forget everything you know about pokemon and follow the rule "tag what You see".
    we use this rule to avoid arguments. just one tail is not enough to tell the pokemon's gender.

    We tagged what we see, and we see a tail that's exclusive to a female Eevee.

    As I said before, the tail is not enough to determine the pokemon's gender, that would violate the "tag what you see" rule. this is one reason the "ambiguous_gender" tag exists.

    one way to follow the rule would be to forget everything you know about the character.
    by doing this, you will always tag correctly.
