Technically (at least according to the original designer for eevee) they're neither feline nor canine, they're ambiguous mammals. They're supposed to have traits from felines, canines, and lagomorphs because they're supposed to invoke the feeling of a "pet" since those three groups are the most popular when it comes to pets. As such, they aren't really anything in particular, kind of their own thing.

On a slightly related note, I for one enjoy seeing more feline interpretations of eevee and its evolutions. There's an overabundance of canine veevees and it's kinda getting old.

I wonder how difficult it would be to get Bnbigus to draw more Eevee, this is amazing!
