To be fair, you'd have to watch a crap ton of filler episodes to get to her because she doesn't show up until much much later into the series if I recall. Back in the day, I use to watch One Piece pretty regularly when it first started and after like a couple of years, I got bored of it and stopped watching. And even then, she didn't make an appearance until much much later after that.

That you have to watch a "crap ton of filler episodes" is not true at all. There are hardly any filler episodes in One Piece.

I mean episodes in general. It's kinda like Bleach in a sense where the series has way more episodes than you'd think. Maybe "filler" was the wrong term but I'm not wrong by saying you have to get through a ridiculous amount of episodes before you see this character make an appearance if you plan on watching from the beginning of the series.

It was one of those series I couldn't stay invested in back then because it just went on and on for soo long...much longer than I expected. Though it is a series on my list I would like to go back and give another shot. It was like Naruto. I tried to binge watch Naruto from start to finish a few times before I was finally able to get through the initial 200+ episodes and get to the Shippuden series. Though I can say I'm glad I did because I've been enjoying it.

Started One Piece for the furries, stayed with One Piece for the memes.
