Correction: Ridley only ate Virgina. Rodney blew himself up to destroy Ridley's Ship.

I personally (because I'm a sensitive susy I guess) like to believe that Ridley didn't actually eat Virigina, Ridley just said that he did as a form of mind games because he knew it would upset Samus. We only have his word that he said he did it and there's no reason not to consider the possibility other wise.

Other M is non-canon, not to mention widely despised by the fandom for bastardizing Samus's character (among other, less important reasons), so it would be in your best interest to NEVER speak of it again.
Then again, Other M did reveal some of Samus's backstory, so take my statements with a grain of salt.

and even if you thought fusion referenced Other M, it likely refers to her time with the Federation POLICE Force, and Other M was like a decade after fusion (irl, Other M is between SM and Fusion).

Other M is canon, there are references to it in Dread, being the Diffusion Beam and the fact it's part of the gallery of ending images, placed between Super and Fusion, chronologically.

as others have been saying. Other M is canon to the Metroid timeline and lore, Same with the Prime games. As for Samus' character being bastardized in Other M do some research and reading up on PTSD. That shit will come back to haunt you worse than a nightmare cause it never goes away. When you feel like the stressor is gone for good... only for it to show back up... you will feel like you are that scared kid way back when the actual event happened.

My issue isn't the PTSD, it's everything to do with Adam Malkovich. The human, not the computer.

Other M and The Prime trilogy (hopefully to be a 4 part series soon (late 2024, mid 2025 with some serious luck) are definitely canon even without the references of them in other games, cuz as much of a dick that Nintendo is when it comes to dumb content strikes on YT, they don't waste time on games that don't have any form of storyline connection to their series
