Oh...does that mean he owns the Brothel and all the Girls now?

his terms were just for Nora. I would have made that offer to buy the whole brothel.

  • Hard to keep one's dignity when
    1) your interlocutor could easily stuff you inside a thimble, and
    2) you're drooling over enough money to buy a kingdom. (or not - inflation is a thing, and all that gold would make the price of gold drop like a pebble from a cliff)

I hope the lizard guy is haunted by great misfortune after taking this much gold for Nora's freedom.

But look at the great fortune he already has, if anything, great misfortune will set him back to square one. /s

  • Wouldn't it be awesome if it turns out Chris stole all that shit and then the original owners showed up thinking the pimp is the one who took it and they gang-bang him?

Seems like a just punishment for such a ponce.

    Nora's perfect reaction face

Few things can affirm one's self worth as well as someone offering a literal pile of gold for you. Her self esteem's gonna be riding high for a loooooong time.

How about this for misfortune: as Lizard lips here is counting all that treasure, a crew of ghost pirates barges in demanding their treasure back. The lizard, as greedy as he is, refuses to return the treasure and as a result, not only do the ghost pirates take their treasure back, but the lizard is dragged off by the captain to serve on the pirate's ship for eternity because of his greed.

Eh, fantasy economics are weird (thank you D&D for that one). But, we can assume from his reaction at least that the gold there is of a significant value, at least at present.

  • I don't know what that table is made of, but it's some amazing construction. That's several hundred pounds of gold. That shit in movies where you see people just picking up an ingot of gold or a sack of gold coins the size of someone's head in one hand? Yeah, NO. Both hands and it still isn't easy. (And I want to know what that sack is made of, unbelievium cloth doesn't come cheap.)
A 6" x 9" x18" gold bar weighs roughly a quarter ton...And is currently worth on the order of twelve million dollars.

This guy deserves to be beaten to death with a pyrite-covered rock.

  • Nora's face has me in stitches, hahahah. Can't wait for the next page.
Can't wait for Nora to be out of the sleezy grasp of that brothel owner.

Madman brings in enough shit to make the snake retire early and live off of it all just to buy one girl.

Y'know. You can get more joy from watching a bird fly away into the distance, than you get from keeping it caged away for your eyes only...

And he'd be getting off too easily for his greed. That's why I think ghost pirates taking his riches and dragging him off to serve on their ship for eternity is a more fitting punishment for Lizard lips.
